Let say you start of a small business website today, which just happens to do wonderfully and your small business website becomes a popular online destination overnight or even a short period of time, attracting a huge volume of online traffic every month. That's simply great, nothing wrong with this, except for one small detail, if your website is not capable of supporting the growing number of visitors, you will have a problem on your hands. Data Transfer plays a significant part in supporting the traffic volume on your website. The higher your data transfer capacity, the better it is. But why should you pay for the price of your unexpected popularity when you have a great opportunity to benefit from and help your small business flourish without a hitch.........

Using a Domain You Already Own
To use your existing domain name with your Yahoo! plan, you'll need to contact the company where you originally registered your domain, such as Network Solutions, and request a name server change to redirect your existing domain name to Yahoo!
You don't need to understand name servers to make the switch. Just provide your registrar with this information about your new service (be sure to replace learn2yoga.com with your own domain name):

About Your Domain
When you signed up for your plan, you chose a web address, or domain, for your business. Your customers will use this domain, such as learn2yoga.com, to find your business online.
If you recently signed up for Yahoo! Domains, your domain may still be pending. Pending means that your domain is not yet active across the Internet; don't worry, this is normal for all domain registrations and changes, and can take up to 72 hours. The effects of a pending domain:
* Web address: If you are registering a new domain, visitors who visit your web address will get a Page Not Found error. If you are using a domain you registered elsewhere, visitors will see the page or web site that is currently active, depending on the settings you have made at your registrar.
* Email: Any email messages sent to your domain name may not be delivered while your domain is pending. If you are using a domain you ordered through another provider, your email may be delivered to your registrar until your domain becomes active.

What is a web address?
A web address identifies the location of a specific web page on the Internet, such as http://www.learn2yoga.com.
A domain name is the component of a web address that identifies and locates an entity (such as a person, business, or organization) presence on the Internet. In tech speak, the domain name is the representation of the numeric IP Addresses assigned to individual computers.
For example, the domain name in our sample web address is learn2yoga.com.
A domain extension is the suffix at the end of a domain name, such as .com, .net., or .edu. If your domain name is learn2yoga.com, for example, your domain extension is .com. Most extensions represent a web site category or a country. The extension .org, for example, stands for organization and is typically used by noncommercial web sites; while extensions like .uk are used in domain names registered in the United Kingdom.
Yahoo! Domains currently offers the domain extensions .com, .net, .org, .us, .biz, and .info.
